DHS RS40+ Ball Returns to the WTT Swedish Smash

The WTT Swedish Smash is taking place in Malmö, Sweden, bringing together the world’s best table tennis players for another world-class sporting spectacle.

The official match ball for this year’s Swedish Smash is the DHS RS40+, an eco-friendly table tennis ball developed by DHS. Following its debut at the 2025 WTT Swedish Smash, the RS40+ will return to the event for the second consecutive year, further demonstrating the potential of sustainable solutions in professional table tennis.

Made with Recycled Materials

The DHS RS40+ is made primarily with PCR recycled plastic blended with premium ABS material to reduce environmental impact while maintaining excellent durability, stability, and consistent performance.

Through recycling and reprocessing discarded plastic products into new raw materials, PCR helps reduce reliance on virgin plastic. Using recycled materials in table tennis ball production can significantly reduce the emissions associated with the production of new raw materials, while giving previously used plastic a new purpose.

The RS40+ is not only a breakthrough in material innovation. Its technical specifications are designed to be consistent with the DHS DJ40+ WTT, the current competition ball used in major events, while maintaining the familiar feel and playing characteristics expected by professional players.

DHS and ITTF Extend Partnership with a Focus on Sustainable Table Tennis

DHS and the ITTF have officially renewed their long-standing partnership, with DHS becoming the Official Ball Supplier of the ITTF World Para Table Tennis Circuit for the 2026–2028 period.

As a highlight of the partnership, DHS will provide its RS40+ table tennis balls, made with recycled materials, as the official competition balls for the ITTF World Para Table Tennis Circuit. The initiative responds to ITTF’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of sporting events while encouraging continued innovation in more sustainable sports equipment.
